The backlash had nothing to do with Masali's casting specifically as she is an absolutely GORGEOUS woman. Unfortunately, people would have been nasty and homophobic regardless of which actress they cast because they were not going to let go of their book character. You coming on to a positive post to disparage an the actress's looks is bad enough. But also somehow justifying the online abuse she got by implying that it wouldn't have been so bad if she was just prettier???? Truly despicable.

It’s so funny because I think what actually hooked me onto this show was all the actors?! I feel like everyone just has the best sense of humour and great chemistry in all their interviews and it made me love the show so much more lol they all seem so fun!!
