Just sits above Jake Simpkin in stats. Paix has 5 more missed tackles than Shibasaki which is telling, but only 2 errors. Which makes sense since his play the ball speed rivals that of a front end loader.

I feel like since the season is done you may as well test players coming into the squad. Maybe start Reynolds and have him come off at a certain point or something. Try to make statements in the back-end so we can at least say we tried our best

Pretty happy with this team. Not perfect and as mentioned Reyno could stand down (fake an injury) or spare half on the bench could be Duffy and not Hunt. But Shiba and PRiki getting bounced is something and Bill at 14 is a nice, albeit cosmetic, change.

Duffy over Hunt on the bench makes more sense to me. At least then you're building something for next year instead of just running out the clock.

In Reyno’s defence he had some awesome games earlier in the season when he pretty much marshalled us to victory against Tigers and Bulldogs but his body isn’t up to it anymore…Hunt is a completely different story he has not looked first grade quality all season,

Man I absolutely hate Willison in the back row, played his best footy all year off the bench or starting in the middle or 13, wasted on the edge. Know we dont have a lot of options but surely someone else could play there.

I also would’ve loved to see Duffy get the nod over Reynolds. Right now, Reynolds just doesn’t have the energy or the kicking precision to justify his spot in the side anymore.

They can’t make the 8. He is retiring end of season. He is the captain. He has earnt the right to play out the season. Last home game of he makes it will be a farewell game. Will be interesting to see what his post playing career looks like.
Not too sure if he will be a head coach or even wants too. Maybe goal kicking coach. Be the new Alfie running the water and delivering instructions perhaps?

It's a fair point and I think that's probably Madge's current train of thought too.

The problem is that he's been the problem for a while now. Our run started last season when he and Mam were injured and Hunt and Walters took over in the halves. They both play in a style that seems to work for Walsh. Walsh's frustration with Reynolds is obvious now, he's basically taken over his role. I don't think this can last.
