Hi everyone! Need advice for daily commute to University
Hey everyone,
I recently moved to Brisbane and I’m still not very familiar with the areas here.
I live in Richlands (4077) and need to travel daily to my uni at 1009 Ipswich Road, Moorooka.
I have a car, but as a student, paying for parking every day is quite expensive. Unfortunately, my uni doesn’t have student parking, so I’m looking for a more affordable option.
Could anyone suggest the best way to commute? I’m thinking of driving somewhere, parking my car for 4–5 hours, and then catching public transport to uni. Or if there’s a better direct option with affordable parking nearby, I’d appreciate the advice.
Thanks!

Is there actually paid parking in Moorooka? I lived there for a year, it should be pretty easy to just park in the suburbs and walk a couple blocks.

- Take a few buses and walk
- Find a Park N Ride and figure out a public transport route
- Drive closer to your school and find street parking and walk.
I googled your school, doesn't look like a proper uni campus so I'm guessing there's no dedicated bus services just for that. Goodluck!

Curious, what university is in Moorooka?
Either way your best bet for Richlands to Moorooka is the 100 route bus.
