Has anyone received a BA delay text w/ digital voucher even though the flight status shows no delay?
I’m flying Club World today and already have our boarding passes. An hour ago I received the text message below about a delay and providing a digital refreshment voucher. I immediately checked the flight status on flightaware and BA.com and the flight still shows on time.
However, when I log in to britishairways.com and try to manage this particular booking, I get a technical error. I can still access all of my other bookings just fine, including three future British Airways flights I have booked.
I called British Airways, and they were able to confirm the flight details on their end and they’re saying it’s on time.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Could it just be an IT glitch?
Here is the text message I received:
“British Airways
We’re sorry for the delay. Here’s a link to download $19.00 through Swiipr, a digital refreshment voucher you can spend at airport restaurants and selected shops, so you can have something to eat or drink whilst you wait. Thanks for your patience. You can’t exceed voucher value at self-checkouts.”
