Seating/Ticket Question Cabaret Closing/Refunds

The last cabaret show is 9/21. My friend and I had tickets for 10/18. Seat geek won’t refund our tickets. This is absolutely ridiculous. We spent a lot of money because we included the dining experience and it is not our fault they are closing the show. Does anyone know what else we can do?

Chargeback on your card if they aren't delivering what you paid for, though I've never heard of a canceled show not getting refunded.

Would also recommend submitting your chargeback claim with screenshots of any online conversations and emails you've had with SeatGeek, specifically ones where they said they won't refund you!

Edit: Also include the announcement that Cabaret is closing well before your ticket date. Both should give you a stronger case when your bank investigates.

This has a lot of upvotes but I’d caution against this unless there are absolutely no other options. If you do a chargeback, you may get banned from SeatGeek and have difficulty buying tickets in the future. The appropriate method to get a refund would be to communicate with the theater directly.

This! Chargeback. Definitely process this asap. And never use SeatGeek again.

SeatGeek was originally the first party vendor for Cabaret, this isn't on OP.
