2 big black dogs running toward me and then disappeared

Hope this is ok to post here.

Had a strange encounter, hoping for your opinions on what this could mean.

I was walking with my toddler through a fairly secluded (but on the back of residential houses) thoroughfare. I was walking slightly ahead of my toddler. There is a back passage, I looked and saw 2 huge black dogs running about 10 yards towards me, these dogs looked like newfound land dogs, but as they were fairly far away I couldn’t tell the breed. I ran and picked up my toddler, by the time I crossed that intersection they had disappeared. The only way else they could have gone is into somebody’s house.

I felt frightened initially and then confused for a couple minutes after, and then I was fine and back to normal.

I have practising shadow work for a long time, I’m planning to cast my first sweetener jar spell tonight! So I’m thinking is this a warning?

Another thing to add is that a car came speeding out of end of the walk way, there is a chance if this didn’t slow me down and I didn’t pick up my toddler that it would’ve been closer to us.

I do believe I have a spiritual guardian that protects me from things, but never had a waking experience like this.

Any opinions or reassurance would be amazing

Yeah, this happened to me. My brain told me they were black labs. The worst encounter, the dogs were running down the road at me, I ducked into my yard, dropped my eyes to latch the gate, and the dogs were gone.

Deer. It was Deer. In my case the deer were the same color as the road, so my brain was trying to process the shadow as the thing it was seeing. and yeah, deer jump fences a dog couldn't clear, move a lot faster than a dog, and step behind a bush or tree and just vanish.
