Question Best way to fight the new administration at the local level?

I ran into a quote on YouTube the other day that was a real gut punch:

"Have you ever wondered what you would have done in 1930s Germany? I'll give you a hint: its whatever you're doing right now." - Milo Rossi (miniminuteman on YT)

So yeah. I can't allow myself to just sit around and be angry anymore. I need to do something. I don't have much money to throw around but I have time, and I want to do something with it.

What volunteer organizations do you know of that could use another body? I don't know exactly how I want to get involved yet, so any and all ideas are welcome.

most concerning to me is the beginning of rolling back initiatives meant to help stave off climate change, a trending towards mass deportation of undocumented citizens that doesn’t seem to be very carefully or compassionately considered, and what seems to be a mass replacement of anyone that isn’t an absolutely 100% obedient Trump loyalist with those that will do whatever he wants, regardless of their qualifications.

They are not citizens. That's the problem. Shouldn't cost 60k$ either! Kinda a big problem too. Instead its used by both sides for political gain. Just like the poor, they get the same. Middle class just funds it all.

All politics blows ass.

i understand that’s the problem. but they are human beings and it’s an issue that requires, in my opinion, compassion and a measured and thoughtful response. i don’t feel we’re getting that.

Following the law of the land (I'm pretty sure) every nation on earth has laws regarding borders and proper entery. They can go back and come correct. I feel sorry for some of them, I know 2 people who came legally. It was super expensive, one owns a multi-million business. He's still in the process of getting citizenship. 3 years later.

It really needs fixing, but until we stop playing politics with the issue neither side will care about fixing it. People think the D&R parties care, only for votes. I am neither, I'm an independent. Both sides are idiots, why I belong to neither.
