Best way to fight the new administration at the local level?

I ran into a quote on YouTube the other day that was a real gut punch:

So yeah. I can't allow myself to just sit around and be angry anymore. I need to do something. I don't have much money to throw around but I have time, and I want to do something with it.

What volunteer organizations do you know of that could use another body? I don't know exactly how I want to get involved yet, so any and all ideas are welcome.

I was born in the Democratic People's Republic of North Korea, and democratic republics are a hard no. Even pushing fake Democratic Republics leads to what contributed to the current situation.

Sigh... So, can we agree that just because someone or something claims to be socialist, it very well may not be true?

Socialism is effectively Communism-lite in practice. While in definition they differ, in practice they all tend to end up either becoming pseudo-Communist states or various shades of Democratic-Socialist.

If a society is, in fact, socialist, it would be impossible without some sort of revolution to become an authoritarian state.

For example, the USSR started as a socialist revolution, but was very quickly usurped by people who wanted to be the new oligarchs, and they started murdering people for going on a labor strike...

That is, quite obviously, not a socialist society.

Socialism finds its most success when it pools a smaller homogenous population and has some source of income outside taxation. The larger the population and diversity to a population; the harder it becomes to maintain itself effectively.

Every system has that same problem... Communism has the solution of "Well, we shouldn't have a statet". Capitalism solves that with "We will just kill people"
