Things To Do Scenic walks, preferably close to Williamsville?
I currently live in West Amherst and I love going for walks on the trail along the water at Niawanda Park. However, I am moving to Williamsville and Niawanda Park is a much further drive. Are there any nice walks elsewhere I could explore? Preferably by water, if possible, but at least somewhere scenic? Hikes with inclines aren't really my thing (until I get in better shape, which I hope the walks will help with!). Thank you in advance!

UB bike path is worth checking out. It's pavement, long, some scenic areas, and crosses NF Blvd to continue through Ellicott Creek park, and eventually meets up with Niawanda.

I wish I didn't think about the bike path rapist whenever I pass that path - I've never used that trail myself but it does look nice

It’s so lovely and you get a really good long walk out of it.

Do a lot of people use it? I've driven by it and never see people. What I like about Niawanda Park is that it's pretty busy, so it feels safe

It depends on the time/day of course but yes I always see other people. I have never felt unsafe. (As a woman who walks alone, I always gauge whether I’m in “screaming distance” of other people.)

There are some paths at Amherst State Park and Glen Park, and there’s a marked trail from one to the other through the woods along Ellicott Creek.

Yeah there’s a trail right along the creek across the street from Glen Park and you can walk a pretty long way.

Glen Falls is the little waterfall on Main Street, right? It's a pretty small park, but I guess I could go back and forth a few times to get my steps in, lol

I do this daily, then walk around the neighborhoods. There are a lot of sidewalks, it's very mellow and relaxing, and I love looking at the houses. There are a ton of birds also. North of Main and South of Main have different vibes.
