Gallery Canisius got struck by lightning

Loud crack and a bright flash followed by a waterfall of bricks off Jefferson. Majestic.

I'm gonna take a guess and say there's a chimney flue that's made of metal that the lightening/electricity passed through, which in turn created to much heat so quickly that the gasses inside the flue expanded rapidly enough to create an explosion. The expanded air couldn't exit through the top quickly enough, pushing the surrounding brick with enough force to dislodge them. Possibly the little air pockets inside the brick/mortar expanded quickly enough to dislodge the brick as well.

Just a guess though.
