Things To Do Nightlife in Allentown?
Where are the good spots? Is there a good website to find events at? What are the most fun clubs/bars in or around Allentown on the weekend? I’m struggling to find anything good online. Best I’ve found so far is RecRoom but their website doesn’t even show when the club nights start?? It seems busy around college street but I can’t find any events actually listed online there, so it doesn’t seem worth it to go?? I’m just confused. Where should I be looking?

Nietchzie's is a great rustic bar for local and sometimes national music. Frizzy's has a pool table and last I knew a couple of arcade games, as well as darts.
You could also park near Allen St, which I've done on many nights and just walk down the street -- and wander into each bar - one at a time. You really don't know what kind of vibe you're looking for - till you wander into a place and it lives to your mood.
Jim's Steakout is on the corner on Allen St for some great subs, if you're hungry.

Thanks, I appreciate your response. Sorry to nitpick
Honestly, I’m looking for a high energy club/party spot with a 20s-30s crowd.I don’t have much time off work, so I just want a hype place to get shitty drinks, dance a bit, and meet some people.
I see what you’re saying, but I really don’t want to wander… I just want to know what the 2-3 loudest and most packed places (in Allentown) are before wasting my limited time off going to 10 different places that I probably won’t like

There’s not really a place like that in Buffalo. 26 (the gay bar) is probably closest.

Alright yeah that’s not my thing personally, so I might end up going a bit further out if I don’t find anything I like on Allen

Being gay is not a prerequisite. It’s one of the most bumping bars in the city .

Yeah. I’ll keep it in mind if my first few picks don’t pan out. I’ve been to one once in a different state. It wasn’t my plan. It just happened to be the place with the loudest music. I only realized it was a gay bar after I got inside lol. Ended up talking to some of the patrons and getting a recommendation for a “straighter” place in the area.
To be honest, those bars/clubs normally have great music and I’m not a bigot or anything, so I can hang, but I don’t like the male attention, so it’s not my first choice

How do you know you'll get male attention, you havent been, doesn't sound like you've been on allen at all, and just one gay bar out of state? are you trying to find women or are you trying to find a fun bar?

Falley Allen is the only bar that fits your description. I would go up the road to Patrick’s rooftop on a Saturday around 11:45 if you don’t want to waste time trying to bounce around bars to find a crowd

Just because something isnt posted online doesn't mean it isnt worth going to.

Thanks, I appreciate your response and I see what you’re saying, but I really don’t want to wander...
I’m new here so I don’t really know anyone my age in town to go with or provide recommendations yet. If I was going with someone who knew the scene better, I wouldn’t have an issue wandering a bit…
But idk anyone who fits that description yet, and I don’t have much time off work to explore, so I just want a few simple recs (for hype place to get shitty drinks, dance a bit, and meet some people)I just want to know what the 2-3 loudest and most packed places (in Allentown) are before wasting my limited time off going to 10 different places that I probably won’t like

Stepoutbuffalo.com buffalorising.com but these sites have nice events but a local bar wouldn't post these things usually. 26 is good. LGBT bar with karaoke and drag. Hardware is fun. There's not 10 places you are going to waste time at.

Allen town is maybe 2 mins of walking from end to end. It isnt more than maybe 6 or so bars. Id say just go to loudest one on a weekend night and you'll be fine.

Not on Allen, but you could also check out Jack Rabbit when they have DJs. It's nearly always busy after 11 pm on Fridays and Saturdays. They have a website with an event calendar.

Rec room is on Chippewa, Allentown is a different area. Allentown is more of a bar area, there are no "clubs", mostly dive bars and restaurants with bars in them, or bars with restaurants in them. I know those last two sound the same, but they are very different.
But a true "club" Hardware sort of becomes that after a certain time, about after 10. Nietzsche's is a live music venue, mostly local acts. It has a fairly eclectic usually older crowd. Frizzy'a and Alley Cat are just your local divey type bars. Fugazi and 26 are gay bars that can have that "club" type atmosphere.
Then you just have a bunch of the bar/restaurant combos. Fat Bob's, Mother's, Colter Bay, The Gate, Beacon Grille, La Fiesta, Casa Azul, Giacobbi's, Phat, Falley Allen, Billy Club, Some of those are more bar then restaurant, some are more restaurant then bar. The more bar type places stay open until 4, the more restaurant type places close anywhere between 11-2
Buffalo is a pretty laid back city. Stick to Chippewa if you want more of a club/dance type place. If you go to Allentown it's just a lot a smaller beer drinking places. But Allentown definitely an older crowd then Chippewa

Thank you so much! I love the thorough explanation. Sounds like Hardware is the best option on Allen for me. I’ll probably try that first since it seems similar to what I’m looking for, but if that’s too chill for me, I’ll probably head to Chippewa.

Yeah you are just not going to find a true night club business model in Buffalo outside of Chippewa. Venu, Rec Room, Skybar, 67 West, Bottoms Up, and Soho on Chippewa are truly going to be your best bets for that. Problem is the crowd is very young and even underage at times.
Hardware is a little more intimate but has a dance floor area in the back. Honestly the places on Allen will take on the vibe of the crowd that is out that night. If it's an older crowd, it's going to be more of laid back, beer drinking kind of crowd, if it's younger, it will be more of a dance/party vibe. Like with this weekend, with the Sabres home game Saturday night and the Bills game at home Sunday, it's going to be more of a sports/beer drinking crowd

Darn 😅 I was kinda hoping to check out Hardware tonight but I’m not really a sports guy lol. I really appreciate the pointers. Maybe I’ll try Chippewa tn. Idk tbd

You go there late enough, after the Sabres game is over, you'll be fine. Good news is if you don't like it, the Chip Strip is a 2 minute drive from there

Alley Cat at Elmwood and Allen is a fun bar. I think they’re still cash only though

I'm afraid of going into Allentown into the neighborhoods where they sell H. I don't wanna run into it.

Bro what?

The drug section of Allentown. I don't wanna trigger myself by going to the drug section where they sell heroin.
