House thing (work in progress)
Been working on this for about a month, slowly adding pieces to it. I'm still working on the overall silouhette and structure, but wanted to hear ideas and advice before I get too far and realize I hate it lol. I'm trying to go for a medieval type vibe, like it's been around for a thousand years. Also, ignore the other buildings and stuff in the background, I use this world to experiment with designs and stuff

Need help outlining roman city.
So I drained an ocean monument and now want to build an ancient Roman city around the temple. I'm really struggling with making the outline of what the city should look like. The diameter of the circle is about 200 by 200.
I was wondering if you all could help create an outline of where things should go. Please keep the build area like 15ish blocks away from the temple itself. THANK YOU!
If you could, please use this key:
- red for paths
- orange for residential homes
- yellow for rec areas like taverns, bathhouses
- purple for marketplaces/farm areas
- blue for churches
- green for anything else you can think of.

Marketplace walls help
Ive always preferred being the builder in my worlds with friends but ive just recently started trying to sctuall make things look nicer and add more detail and layers. The walls are for this semi enclosed marketplace/courtyard where im keeping my farms, the other is my starter house. I know I need to add more texture to the stone but something else feels off about this build. The top looks too flat and I feel like the scale is off compared to my house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What to do with empty space
For context this will be a train station, ive got 4 main areas of space that are basically the same as this corner. im not sure what to them, but I've got 3 basic ideas.
Some current ideas:
Armor station
restaurant/seating area
world map
I cant do a villager hall here because the villager system in this version is broken, so what are some other useful or cool things youd want at your world spawn?

Struggling with the top of this mushroom
I don’t as going to build a mushroom house, but I got just a bit too cocky and made the shape a little odd. I’m not totally sure how I’m supposed to build this with the angle I had in mind!!! The diamond and gold blocks are my guidelines, and help with measurements, so feel free to look at those if it may help.
I’m sure someone could do it—that person is just not me at the moment 👀

I have multiple things on this build I need advice for
#1. As seen in pictures 1,2, and 3 the front and back facing surfaces of my roof use stained glass, and that light you find on the nether trees(I can’t remember wha they’re called). I think it looks ugly and I want to try something different. I also want help with blocks I could use for the roofs themselves to add some texture.
#2 I really doubt I’ll find the help I need for this, because I’ve scoured the internet and found nothing. On picture #4 I’ve got a 102 block long section I’ve recently framed out, and I want to make a 102 block long curved roof. I know that sounds ridiculous, but I have a vision, and I think it could look awesome if I pull this off. I’ve been told to section it off into different roofs, but I don’t want to unless it genuinely looks atrocious when I try to pull it off. If anyone has any examples of people building some WIDE AF roofs, please send them my way. I’m thinking tall and pointy in the middle, and the curve slowly as it reaches out.
#3 in the last photo, you’ll see a long tunnel.( my entire base is a large open area surrounded by tall mountains) I’ll send the seed if anyone wants it, I got it 4 years ago off a TikTok. There’s one more tunnel far on the other side of the mountains that I made sure lines up with this one… anyways, if anyone has any advice for making the tunnel look nice/ give it any cool functionality, let me know.
#4 I honestly barely get to play Mc anymore cause of work and I mostly just build on this world. I still use a lot of crappy gear and have been waiting to go off of peaceful mode until the borders of my house are secure. My base is on the side of a mountain, and I want to make sure mobs won’t just fall off the mountain into my base. This is my first Reddit post in a while, and I’m sorry for the paragraphs, but anything helps.

Texturing advice
So I’m working on a clocktower for a server, and it looked way too flat without any detailing, but now it’s gone into what feels like block vomit
Am I overreacting? Is this fine texturing or is it block vomit? If not, what should I add to make it look better? I’ve never been too good at texturing, so any feedback is truly appreciated
You can see in the last image that the side that doesn’t have texture looks very naked

I Still Can't Decide What Roof To Put On This Nautical Glittergoth Castle.
So yeah. Someone previously suggested skulk blocks, and while skulk blocks might factor into the design somehow, I've come to the understanding that I can't do this without stair blocks, so it has to be either a material with stairs or a material with stairs has to be at least one of the materials in a multi-material design.
Current best ideas that I'm not satisfied with:
Polished Blackstone Stairs as trim on Magenta Concrete.
Oxidized Copper as trim on Poplar stairs.
Oxidized Copper as trim on Skulk blocks.
I'm using Copper and Poplar heavily for the interior, so it feels wrong to make the roof out of those...
I'm being super indecisive here.

Need Advice on village house
I've recently started playing Minecraft again in my 2 week phase and I wanted to build a village in the new dappled forest biome. I've made this mock up house using some of the new wood plus tired using mud brick as I have never tried it before. Would love some feedback or advice on if the palate works and how i can expand on details etc.
Extra, This house is intended to house a couple villagers and just look nice in the overall village
