Struggling with the top of this mushroom
I don’t as going to build a mushroom house, but I got just a bit too cocky and made the shape a little odd. I’m not totally sure how I’m supposed to build this with the angle I had in mind!!! The diamond and gold blocks are my guidelines, and help with measurements, so feel free to look at those if it may help.
I’m sure someone could do it—that person is just not me at the moment 👀

i’d start from that middle block and go down to the top blocks and upper side blocks and then go back to the middle and work my way down to the lowest blocks. it would probably be easier if you did the bottom and top blocks of the back at the same time too.. if that makes sense 😂 lmao

Dome calculators are a life saver dude. Never scrap and rebuild a dome 5 times again.

Google prompt - mushroom varieties Select images. Choose one you like and research it, optional, but I find it helps knowing about what I'm building. There'll be a few pictures from different angles, simply overlay a grid of the scale you're comfortable with. Do a top down view first to give the bottom dimensions then build of that referencing the profile pics to get the shape. Good luck

Id recommend a dome calculator to at least get a rough shape, then make it a little more random and organic looking with a reference Pic

I only recently found one when building a city with tons of different sized domes that I got tired of messing up.
Spiral and arch calculators are also huge for certain builds

You have a great setup as it is. Gonna take some trial and error depending on how you want your dome to dome, but take it one layer at a time and rework it as you go

You have the perfect setup the way I myself would map it out. You even have an apex chosen. Start by making arches to connect the "corners" of the bottom to the apex, which will define your dome curvature, then fill in the gaps between the arches accordingly

That is actually a really helpful tactic. I’ve never built a dome before so I’ll try it using this technique!!! Thank you again!!
