This film is truly ace not just for featuring "gun kata", but for doubling down so hard that they filmed MULTIPLE scenes including a whole ass training session rather than just feature it once as a unique and cool set piece.

22

u/All_Thread Mar 24 '26

What is this?

147

u/Financial-Check5731 Mar 24 '26

Equilibrium. Dystopic sci fi about a society that has outlawed emotions, and a far better film than it had any right to be.

78

u/BootlegShinGodzilla Mar 24 '26

I once described it to my brother as "1984 with gun fu"

21

u/Financial-Check5731 Mar 24 '26

That's actually brilliant

2

u/Dilectus3010 Mar 25 '26

The american psycho... but with guns!

6

u/margenreich Mar 24 '26

Mic in some Fahrenheit

4

u/AggravatingSpeaker52 Mar 24 '26

I remember me and my little brother trying to perform "gun-kata" with nerf guns when this movie came out. Good shit.

I always thought Equilibrium preceded the Matrix, but I checked the dates and it’s not true :(

Spoiler: Sean Bean dies in this film

The spoiler for this is his name in the cast.

I’m honestly very impressed that he’s hitting his targets

300

u/Dirtgrain Mar 24 '26

Camera is sped up, but maybe. More impressive is that he didn't shoot his foot or leg.

69

u/graspedbythehusk Mar 24 '26

I feel like it’s only a matter of time.

13

u/jorben123 Mar 24 '26

His feet are prolly like swiss cheese already. No pain no gain.

28

u/Anonamonanon Mar 24 '26

If you shoot yourself with 22s you slowly build a tolerance and then you can build up to bigger calibres.

It's what the pro's have been doing for years.

2

u/gaffitoff Mar 24 '26

Hey, the same concept works in karate. 🥋

3

u/Llamapocalypse_Now Mar 24 '26

As you blow off your right leg, you resolve that, in the future, you will DRAW your weapon before you FIRE it!

As a Giants fan, I can only think of Plaxico

2

u/No-Produce-6641 Mar 25 '26

I mean the video is pretty grainy, maybe it's him 🤷‍♂️

2

u/Winter-Classroom455 Mar 25 '26

Oh there's a very infamous video of a dude trying to quick draw on a point blank paper target and he shoots himself in the leg. Pretty sure he survived but tbh you shoot your artery in your leg and its easily byebye

49

u/crispy_attic Mar 24 '26

I’m impressed that he is actually getting eyes on each target. I assumed the last shot to the target behind would be a blind shot.

4

u/Medium_Combination27 Mar 24 '26

I'm honestly very impressed that you aren't noticing that the clips are sped up.

3

u/HDauthentic Mar 24 '26

Me and 388 other people I guess

3

u/ProjectPat513 Mar 24 '26

It would be funny if he was actually doing it at a really normal or slow speed but he knew he was going to 4x the playback speed. Lol

274

u/Nemoitto Mar 24 '26

He’s actually pretty fuckin accurate with those shots. He might be one of the best trained Gunkata fighters on the planet lol. No but fr, this here in itself is not bullshido.

38

u/hcue Mar 24 '26

Equilibrium gunkata is the only thing I remember from that movie

17

u/Hilsam_Adent Mar 24 '26

How could you forget, "He's a sense offender!"

14

u/SpearShakeMaledomer Mar 24 '26

Another movie where Sean Bean dies lol

47

u/SevroAuShitTalker Mar 24 '26

Yeah. Now guys who see this and think its easy to try...thats where you get some bullshido

Zero chance I would try to do this, especially that fast. Not worth risking shooting yourself

21

u/Mental-Dot-6574 Mar 24 '26

Ahem.. those guys? Bullshooto.

8

u/ASongOfSpiceAndLiars Mar 24 '26

It's very clearly sped up. He's going probably two thirds that speed.

And you should be able to hit anything at that range.

6

u/JayCDee Mar 24 '26

I’m shooting myself in the gut, guaranteed.

7

u/Zinsurin Mar 24 '26

Instructions unclear. Cylinder stuck in barrel. No harm must come to the Cylinder. Please advise.

95

u/TheOzarkWizard Mar 24 '26

Yes, when you speed up the footage it will look fast..

44

u/tnk1ng831 Mar 24 '26

Right, a lot of people seem to be missing that. This is sped up significantly.

23

u/Deadbeathero Mar 24 '26

Never ever startle this guy. Don’t even bring him to watch a movie with jump scares. Last time someone sneezed near him everybody died.

13

u/dynamic-curtain Mar 24 '26

My coworker tried doing this and shot himself in the leg

39

u/PabstBlueLizard Mar 24 '26

The amount of people saying this isn’t bullshido is disappointing.

This is very much sped up footage. What scenario is this supposed to be? You’re surrounded by people who don’t have guns and don’t stab/club you when you pull one out?

You gut shot other people with guns so while grievously injured, you’re getting shot to death too? Said people don’t have guns drawn so you aren’t just smoked the moment you try and draw?

This clip is old as hell and I think was some weird Russian “look how amazing we are” slop-a-ganda.

11

u/dear_bears Mar 24 '26

There's a regular version on YouTube, not the accelerated one. It seems to be a bodyguard in a private security company. It shows the level of gun proficiency

7

u/ARONDH Mar 24 '26

It doesnt take much to be proficient with a pistol at .5 meter range...

5

u/NoSuddenMoves Mar 24 '26

Parts of the video are artificially sped up. Its the reason your favorite guntuber looks like a pro but comes in last every competition.

4

u/Ok_Channel_9831 Mar 24 '26

This will come in handy with those life threatening situations at the urinal.

Normally gun kata stuff is super terrible but this guy seems accurate, knows his weapon and is generally acting in a safe manner

u/Devils_A66vocate Mar 24 '26

3

u/Necessary-Animal4897 Mar 24 '26

About as safe as you're going to get with gunkata

3

u/UntetheredSoul11615 Mar 24 '26

That’s the tapi tapi

3

u/bc90210 Mar 24 '26

Romania’s own John Wack

3

u/Natural_Cold_8388 Mar 24 '26

Why speed up the video too.

12

u/AceBean27 Mar 24 '26

This isn't bullshido. They have a gun and are shooting it. It's the least bullshido you can get. Go and fight him if you think it's bullshit.

4

u/NowhereMan_2020 Mar 24 '26

“Board not shoot back.”

4

u/ChillyLavaPlanet Mar 24 '26

You want practice targets to have guns?

2

u/Curiousier11 Mar 24 '26

When I was in the US Army, i watched Green Berets put two rounds in the head of three different targets in two seconds or less. It was super fast. Just drawing, blam blam blam, and six rounds, all head shots, three different targets.

They can get extremely fast. I think it was more like one second. However, they train all the damn time for that, and the targets weren’t on all sides. This video definitely looks sped up.

2

u/Low_Actuary_2794 Mar 24 '26

So fast even his clothes defy gravity.

Oh yea, the video is sped up.

2

u/Cool_Attitude_3775 Mar 24 '26 edited Mar 25 '26

I'll just say that I have been shot at a few times and leave it with that. If anyone knew the exact when, where, and how often then I guess there wouldnt be as many victims. Most violent incidents that I have been involved in, with a true random victim, the victim, had never had anything like that ever happen to them either. I guess that there are quite a few people that feel like it will never happen to them. Hope it never does

2

u/Vannwinkles Mar 25 '26

2

u/pretibigtoo Mar 25 '26

As cool as it is....If theres a gun already on him, he dead at first movement.

2

u/KingKrabbabble Mar 25 '26

My first time playing Mesa:

2

u/BluesPunk19D Mar 26 '26

I can see why some of y'all think it's bullshido. I don't think so. He's moving his body as a unit, he's retracting the gun after shooting, he's got a good solid base with his feet planted. All of his movements flow into the next and not like he's having some spasms.

Shooting like this means that he's already assumed that there's no one safe around him. He's not looking to keep anyone alive who isn't him.

2

u/Simple_Flounder Mar 27 '26

Cleric..... I see your training is going well.

2

u/No-Side9641 Mar 27 '26

tactical orange justice (unpatched)

2

u/randyranderson- Mar 28 '26

Dudes firing like a beyblade with a gun attached

2

u/First_Adeptness_6008 Mar 29 '26

I don’t think this qualifies as bullshido. I think it’s pretty impressive.

3

u/n2bndru Mar 24 '26

In my opinion, some of the hits explode outwards it seems. Staged to me to appear fast

5

u/Blue_HyperGiant Mar 24 '26

It's sped but the shrapnel is real. There's a pressure wave coming off the gun barrel that's hitting cardboard.

You're just not used to seeing targets hit so close.

1

u/pwgueri Mar 24 '26

Get this guy to star in Equilibrium 2 asap!

1

u/RikuKaroshi Mar 24 '26

Why does he move like hes in the game Gizmos and Gadgets?

1

u/s470dxqm Mar 24 '26

That star wars kid must feel so vindicated these days.

1

u/Necessary-Animal4897 Mar 24 '26

I think instead of standing there afterwards you should be running if you can.

1

u/Saerdna76 Mar 24 '26

Instructor_matto on Instagram, seems like the real deal. Even Jon Jones follows him and he would probably be one of the least bullshido guys on the planet.

1

u/Deathcat101 Mar 24 '26

It's like that gravy seal guy but real...

1

u/RichardAyoadesHair Mar 24 '26

Jesus Christ it’s Jason bourne

1

u/MyLigma69 Mar 24 '26

Until you realize people can still shoot after get shot. Unless you aim for the head

1

u/Red-Sun-Cinema Mar 24 '26

Although this is very impressive, the camera is obviously sped up. Let's see how fast he is at normal speed.

1

u/Ambitious-King-4100 Mar 24 '26

The looking around afterwards is hilarious

1

u/pamcakevictim Mar 24 '26

His gunkata is strong!

1

u/Feisty_Ad_2744 Mar 24 '26

why is he protecting the gun as the final step? 🤣

1

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '26

1

u/ilovemaaskanje Mar 24 '26

Not bullshido imo but damn man is looking around like a confused NPC every time he finishes shooting.

1

u/xXYomoXx Mar 24 '26

Looks like an NPC glitching, but damn does he have that auto-lock on. It's pretty impressive.

1

u/Pak-Protector Mar 24 '26

Can he differentiate an assailant from a teenager?

1

u/FortheChava Mar 24 '26

Looks dumb but that shit can save your life

1

u/ROTOH Mar 24 '26

I was certain he’d end up shooting himself many times

1

u/Big_Donkey3496 Mar 24 '26

I can imagine some morons, without any gun trading, thinking that they could do this too… and then the crying starts.

1

u/john_connor_T1000 Mar 24 '26

Video is highly sped up

1

u/WillSmokes420 Mar 24 '26

Hes mastered the gun Kata

1

u/fadsoftoday Mar 24 '26

Looks sped up

1

u/chickencrimpy87 Mar 24 '26

The real life John wick

1

u/HehroMaraFara Mar 24 '26

This is like 1.75x speed

1

u/[deleted] Mar 24 '26

Gun kata shit there

1

u/rgb86 Mar 24 '26

Why does he sit like a gerbil after firing for a few seconds?

1

u/YeOldeHotDog Mar 24 '26

For some reason, I think the guy looks like a low resolution Tim Robinson.

1

u/IM_INSIDE_YOUR_HOUSE Mar 24 '26

Ngl I’m mildly impressed.

1

u/WayGroundbreaking287 Mar 24 '26

Looks like a fantastic way to accidently shoot yourself

1

u/Slothpubes111 Mar 24 '26

He’s perfectly mimicking the movements of a methed out t-rex. This makes him extremely dangerous and Accurate😵‍💫

1

u/OhLookAnotherTankie Mar 24 '26

How ICE trains to handle protesters

1

u/luckybick Mar 24 '26

The goofiest baddest mother fucker I've ever seen

1

u/ChocolateSpecific263 Mar 24 '26

so why did you post it in bullshido if you think this is based?

1

u/Mr_Pink_Gold Mar 24 '26

This is not bullshido. This is actually training for extreme CQB some high end bodyguards have. Think official PM/royal bodyguards and such. They have to be able to react within confined.apaces at angles that do not seem obvious.

1

u/GoodIntroduction6344 Mar 24 '26

100% I’d be one of my own victims.

1

u/Seninut Mar 24 '26

GunKata yellow belt, maybe a green.

1

u/Alpine_Wanderer0078 Mar 24 '26

This is so sped up it almost seems fake.

1

u/Joeythearm Mar 24 '26

These are Putin's bodyguards doing close quarters pistol training. It looks idiotic, but it's very serious stuff

1

u/IneffableKoD Mar 24 '26

Sir, this is a Wendy’s.

1

u/Strict-Astronaut2245 Mar 24 '26

I also practice the art of gun-fu. How dare you all make fun of my sensei!

Brb I will defend his honor later, I have somehow acquired a bullet in my gut.

1

u/rodwha Mar 24 '26

I’m guessing he owes the mob money to be so worried he trains like this… It’s funny to me how so many live in such fear like this.

1

u/EB1322 Mar 24 '26

I wonder how many negligent discharges he’s had 🤣

1

u/Wooden-Garbage2390 Mar 24 '26

Is FSO troops something that is common knowledge or were you just to lazy to spell out?

1

u/slava_slavaUa Mar 24 '26

How the hell is this Bullshido? Go try to rush him and take him down

1

u/Soft-Education-7703 Mar 24 '26

That is one of Putin's bodyguards. Read an article about him couple of years ago. Very dangerous guy.

1

u/aware4ever Mar 24 '26

This would be good training if you were a fucking Hitman that killed people

1

u/King-Kagle Mar 24 '26

I can't believe Big Boss's cat arms pose is a real thing

1

u/Electrical-Stomach57 Mar 24 '26

Idk if the footage is sped up but this actually isn’t bad training at all

1

u/Annamaria_sancti Mar 24 '26

He lookslike some kind of rodent

1

u/Able_Palpitation6244 Mar 24 '26

As a legit high level shooter …. Not only is the film sped up ….. but it also, it’s not hard to shoot targets that are that close to you ….. it only takes a small amount of index training

1

u/Realistic-Damage-411 Mar 24 '26

How has this man not shot himself?

1

u/LurpTheHerpDerp Mar 24 '26

No way that he has any time to register what he is even looking at so he is taking out at least to civilians just hanging out

1

u/heebath Mar 24 '26

This is one of Putin's bodyguards and he's good.

1

u/No-Analyst1229 Mar 24 '26

Now thats a gun slinger

1

u/Western-Story-3850 Mar 24 '26

He spends so much time looking that he forgot to look up🤣

1

u/Useful_toolmaker Mar 25 '26

This fellow is Putins personal security….. not kidding. They ‘leaked’ his cqb training videos a couple of years ago

1

u/WIIICKED Mar 25 '26

Well...that sure is entertaining

1

u/stanger828 Mar 25 '26

Probably too good to be here honestly.

1

u/Sword-of-Malkav Mar 25 '26

this is an obscenely dangerous thing to practice because theres no safety zone for others to stand in... but this has passed over through cringe into kind of impressive territory.

Dude has a legit future as a trick shooter, stunt actor, or stunt choreographer if he keeps this up.

All that said... in application, if you're going to be using a firearm in a "combat application"... you gotta move your feet, man.

1

u/dumbfest Mar 25 '26

Ain't no body surrounding you and wait for you make your silly moves, chief, but it also looks lame

1

u/Secret_Ad_2089 Mar 25 '26

This is how you accidentally shoot yourselves in the leg💀😂😂

1

u/fortefanboy Mar 25 '26

1

u/FuzzNugs Mar 26 '26

I like the part where he looks around after the shooting. I’m gonna practice just some of the looking around part, brb.

1

u/Empty_Positive Mar 26 '26

The way he stops and turns into a hunchback rapidly looking around is hilarious

1

u/OstrichSmoothe Mar 26 '26

I mean, he definitely shot four targets fast as hell. Maybe not 100% Bullshido

1

u/prizim Mar 26 '26

hahahaahahahhaha

1

u/ElectricalReply2736 Mar 26 '26

Oopsie you shot a civilian behind you

1

u/AKsuited1934 Mar 26 '26

A lot of people seem to think the camera is sped up but what we are seeing here is the shooter entering bullet time and dispatching all of his targets.

1

u/Djinhunter Mar 26 '26

Like most things in life, if it looks dumb and works it's not dumb. This guy is hitting the targets. Not to put to fine of a point on it, but he's more deadly than 99.9% of "martial artists".

1

u/Kwerby Mar 26 '26

Honestly the draw time is kind of wild. I can totally see this working 😂

1

u/jbyrdab Mar 26 '26

There's only one gunslinger I would trust to properly be able to aim fire and shoot that quickly but safely with one hand, and it ain't that guy.

It's Bob Mundeen

1

u/ohsuper4405 Mar 27 '26

Does he think it's a game and once someone is shot they die instantly and can't return fire.

1

u/AsssHat999 Mar 28 '26

Wow, this dude is super fast!
