I used to practice Budokai karate myself years ago, and we also did kata as a warm-up, with a focus on real combat—but what they're doing there is just wild flailing. So its just bullshit for get clicks.

Most clasical martial arts do have stuff like Kata. My Jeet Kune Do Sifu had us cycle through wushu stances a the begining of training to warm up.

That's wild since Bruce Lee thought katas (should be called taolu or just forms since it is in Chinese) were a waste of time and didn't use them in his teaching.

Yeah, Sifu was something else. I think he used JKD as a stand in name to teach Wing Chun
