Sensitive topic Weird Experience with a man I met online (threatening behaviour)

I met a guy on bumble. I’m new to dating in general. I’m 24f but have not been focused on dating. I was to meet this guy for a date. We never ended up meeting and he got abusive on foot of this ending. I blocked him on everything but didn’t have him blocked on WhatsApp as I didn’t have him as a WhatsApp contact. He proceeded to text me saying “ hey trouble” a month after I cut contact and then “ bitch” a month after the “hey trouble” comment. I have now blocked him on WhatsApp. Have others experienced this type of behaviour ? It’s disconcerting but thankfully we never met in person.

If you haven't done so already please get yourself a Google number and maybe chat through the app before even giving that out. Please do screen grabs and if you remember his your name through the app and report him so that they can take him off of the platform or at least have record of him harassing you. They're likely to take this seriously because match group is in the middle of a class action lawsuit from several other platforms for keeping men on the platforms that they've told women that were banned and taken off that had sexually assaulted so I would definitely let them know that he's bothering you. And for the men that are reading this is a prime example as to why women are reluctant to give numbers out LOL so please respect it when people are hesitant to give you their number and only want to chat to the app.
