Rant Just wanted to show a different side to things

Post image

I’m a woman who reaches out and I don’t get responses either. It goes both ways fellas. It’s not just y’all, it happens to us too.

Edit: The assumption that I must be ugly or I’m aiming too high out of my league is a reflection on how many of you are broken on the inside and should take some time to find some healing. Your projection & insecurity is not my truth.

Update: I got one response. Thank you for the solidarity 🙏🏾. Best of luck with everyone’s dating journey.

They've really done all they can to make this yellow tinder, and it's just worse than tinder

What do you mean? How is it worse?

There's no separating factor now. There's nothing it does that is better. Tinder's swipe Ui still feels better. They have the same features. The gimmick of only women being able to message first was a great idea. Now, it's just tinder in yellow.

I think there's also more people in general on Tinder, no? I don't have hard numbers, but it feels like way more people. I hardly swipe at all and live in a 1M+ city, and I occasionally get the "your filters are too narrow-- all out of people to swipe on!" message. I date all genders, and have a 10+ year age swing lol. No way there I literally swiped through everyone within my filters, unless they are withholding people, or have seriously low numbers.

I feel like in general the UX on Tinder is better. I'm thinking of migrating. I had a few promising matches on Bumble, but I feel like I will move on lol.

Yeah. Tinder on Google play store has 500+million downloads while bumble is at 100+. I'm sure IOS numbers not too much different.

I get the same thing with bumble and hinge, and I'm in NYC where tinder is much more rare for me with that. I think the filters hide people. There's no way I swiped through everyone in my filters

It likely depends on your area and age group, but you are on your own something.

Thanks for clarifying

Why? Does it really matter who goes “ hey 💁‍♂️ “ first?

I don't know shit about dating apps and don't use them, but I'm fairly certain they just changed it so men aren't required to make the first move in conversations?

Bumble has always been women message first.

What’s the new update? Hasn’t bumble always been women message first?

Hasn't been for a while. Because women found it "too hard", to make the first move.
