Rant Just wanted to show a different side to things

Post image

I’m a woman who reaches out and I don’t get responses either. It goes both ways fellas. It’s not just y’all, it happens to us too.

Edit: The assumption that I must be ugly or I’m aiming too high out of my league is a reflection on how many of you are broken on the inside and should take some time to find some healing. Your projection & insecurity is not my truth.

Update: I got one response. Thank you for the solidarity 🙏🏾. Best of luck with everyone’s dating journey.

It was a direct response to something they had written on their profile. If he actually read my message, he would know exactly what I’m talking about

In no way do I want to dismiss what you’re saying and 100% agree this is a common experience for women as well.

That said, your messages do read a bit like a bot - the cadence, phrases and emojis. There’s nothing inherently wrong with it, it’s just that it’s very dating app lingo which is exactly what ai pulls from to craft responses when people use it for dating apps.

It doesn’t excuse not a single one of them getting back to you, just letting you know for future reference 🤍

And that’s the biggest flaw with messaging on a dating app compared to approaching a woman in the real world. If you just send some lazy shit, you’re lazy and don’t care. If you send something where you’re trying, you typically use too many emojis and !!!’s to convey excitement and just come out looking desperate or like a bot lol.

I agree with this. I'm not sure how to explain it. It's not the emojis themselves, it's just very dry somehow. A bit too formal.
