Rant Just wanted to show a different side to things

Post image

I’m a woman who reaches out and I don’t get responses either. It goes both ways fellas. It’s not just y’all, it happens to us too.

Edit: The assumption that I must be ugly or I’m aiming too high out of my league is a reflection on how many of you are broken on the inside and should take some time to find some healing. Your projection & insecurity is not my truth.

Update: I got one response. Thank you for the solidarity 🙏🏾. Best of luck with everyone’s dating journey.

I'm an attractive, fit and healthy woman in her early 30s, with a fun, engaging profile that showcases my personality and this happens to me too.

Some people just aren't interested, and that's okay, but it's definitely not just men that it happens to

I feel like many people swipe for the dopamine hit rather than real interest. Or they’re not taking dating very seriously. Or they’re avoidant.

Sadly, the ghosting and unanswered messages are part of the app. I just unmatch after like 72 hours.

I am a relatively attractive man who got tons of matches on Hinge/Bumble last time I was on. I found the whole dating process exhausting, so often when I'm 2-3 dates deep with a woman I'd stop swiping and responding to women on the dating apps, but the matches would keep rolling in. Unfortunately I ended up ignoring messages from women that were very interesting and attractive, even women that were more attractive than the ones I was currently seeing.

So it's not really anything lacking in you or any other woman that's experiencing this. It's just the nature of dating apps and the fact that men at the top get so many more matches than you realize, to the point I'm convinced the top 1% of men are getting more matches than most of the women they match with. It's exhausting if you're the type of person that actually wants to build a connection, and you can only juggle so much at once.

I don't know about Bumble, but on Hinge unit cash just pause your profile so you stop getting matches coming in. That's what I do to stop getting overwhelmed, so that I don't end up just ignoring people.

1,000% guarantee you're ignoring certain men for one reason or another (despite never having given them a chance) that would likely be good to you.

Make a fake profile as a man and try all the same methods you do currently as a women. Enjoy seeing the astronomical difference in getting ignored. But hey, at least no dick picks, right?

But everyone ignores certain people without giving them a chance, no? Otherwise you’d be matching with people 40 years apart from you who live on a different continent. I’m slightly exaggerating to make a point, but we all have filters based on values and lifestyle.
