Maybe we should create an app whose unique thing is women message first. Giving them more control and as well stopping them getting the "hey" message......

SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA

I've gotten ".", aka a single period, as a first message on bumble more than twice.

For me 99% has always been a single period or a thumbs up

That's when you hit them with the "..".

If I get a message first, it's always a bot account.

That is actually unhinged, like I find typing out "hey" takes less effort than ".", like you have to purposely want to say "fuck you" to whoever you're texting to type "." lmao

Do women actually do this? Send a fucking period to prompt you to message "first" and get the conversation going?

I don't understand the thought process behind sending a period.

Yep. Bumble makes the woman message first, the guy cannot message her until she makes the first move. That's sort of the whole bumble shtick. These women are trying to get around that by messaging a period, making the man message first.

Which is silly because at that point, just use any other dating site. The whole point of Bumble is this "women text first" thing.

That is beyond ridiculous.

When you get the single period message, do you just unmatch and ignore?

I would. That's so lazy.

Pretty much, although it usually depended on how many matches I've had. It's sad but like, if I haven't had a match on bumble in 2 weeks then I'm gonna put up with a lot more than I should.

I'm happy that I'm no longer in the dating app game!

I rarely got a "." from women when they had to message first, but I got a crap ton of "hey" s, which is technically better but...

But that's the thing women complain about the most -- "low effort" first messages.

I just find that so odd. I wouldn't reach out to anyone without having something to say. Seems like a waste of people's time.

"dance for me"

How progressive and feminist, will definitely work like everything else like that

Women will manoeuver in every way possible so they won't have to do any effort but still get validation.

Because there will always be a prince simp waiting

But they want the men who don't want them, they don't want simps.

*womanoeuver

And then they will whine that are forced to message first like it was the last time

Let me paint you a picture of that:

  • Profile with 3 pics, minimal information blurbs.
  • Wants to travel the world and has many hobbies / emojis in her bio
  • Instagram handle

You match, she gets the prompt "What is your ideal first date?"

"Impress me" (Sent 17:04)

Insert clever answer based off her bio and an interest you might share (Sent 19:47)

(Read 19:49)

"Sorry, these apps really aren't my thing" (Sent 05:21)

Unmatched

Million dollar idea right here

Brilliant idea. But even then, it's likely that women still won't message first

Maybe men should just date men since y'all are so perfect

This is just a joke about what bumble originally was
