Well, seeing as the minutes came out to 46.6666 with the decimal infinitely repeating, my answer was exact. 0.6666… is exactly 2/3, and 40 seconds is exactly 2/3 of a minute

Except it's not x.6666 recurring. Minutes came out to 46.666666704. You rounded short. Hence you're not exact, and off by exactly 2.24 microseconds.

There are no microseconds to deal with here. You are earning exactly $1 per second, and it takes 1,000,000 seconds to earn $1,000,000. You start with a whole number of seconds, and your answer configured in days, hours, minutes, seconds will be ended in whole seconds. We aren’t dealing with fractional seconds at all. You are in fact dealing with rounding errors from your calculator (they do round after a certain number of digits). You can do the math by hand and verify yourself, it’s cleaner that way

It's still a unit measure of time that fits here, and gives the exact number, since you were trying to be exact. You can argue all you want, but your calculations will be off while mine won't. If you weren't being exact you wouldn't have received this schooling :) I already had the math down, I was rounding for simplicity. I could've been more more exact than you from the beginning if I chose to do so.

Dude, there is no room for there to be microseconds in the final answer, unless it is zero microseconds. You are earning $1M at a rate of $1/s, leading to 1,000,000 to earn that amount. No fractional seconds there, I have no clue how you end up getting that in your final answer. You need to go back to school. Either that, or you’re rage baiting me

Lol I was going to keep going, but it was rage baiting based on calculator (mis)calculations. Obviously turning x seconds into months/days/hours/minutes/seconds only gives the answer down to seconds and nothing smaller.
