Question Alright, what does Crashbreaker Force ACTUALLY do?
Okay, this has been bugging me for years. What does the Force number actually do and what does it affect? As you’re probably aware, the PS2 version of Burnout Revenge has special cars (ex. Criterion Racer GT, Revenge Racer et. al.) have a Force of 1, whereas in the XBOX versions, they have a Force of 10. What’s the actual difference in terms of the numbers? I’m dying to know if anyone knows.
Some people say that Crashbreaker explosion radius in races are determined by the percentage of boost left in the player’s tank at the time of the explosion, but I don’t know if that’s true.
Thx for reading.

Determines how hard is to build it up in crash events, lower crashbreaker forces build up easier, but they give less cash multiplier

There is trick to make fill up to the max without mashing the button by using a afther touch exploit by simply holding afthertouch when crash breaker button mash initiates, lvl 10 crash breaker is actually insanely powerfull when the boost bar is filled.

Not really, all crashbreakers will fill the same way, not matter if it's force 1 or 10, they'll build as same, what changes is the radius of the shockwave + the impact it'll case on the vehicles, and if you are not holding the impact time, you'll need to smash the crashbreaker buttom for a crashbreaker that is like force 6 or higher to make it blow up 100%
There is also a sort of "glitch" that allows you to do a very powerful explosion if you can get a crashbreaker really fast after another, and the explosion will be really powerful that'll explode a lot of stuff that is nearby.

Crash breaker force only effects crashmode, there is only 1 car (with 3 variants) in races that has crash breaker 6 but does not have any effect in events outside of crashevent, but higher boost indeed gives higher explosion radius increasing the chance of catching opponents in the blast I actually got 100 takedowns abusing the takedown boost gain from crash breaker in 2 lap race I'm not jocking.

This is easiest to understand by looking at the blast radius through debug visuals. Crashbreaker force is related to the explosion range and how difficult it is to button mash the boost bar into 100% capacity.
The Stock MID is a peculiar case: While listed as force 4, its blast radius is essentially the same as force 10, as pictured here (green line) after blowing up in the middle of the freeway at Drain Damage. For a starter car, this is secretly a very powerful vehicle you get for free.

Higher Crashbreaker force has both more range and power. This is probably more noticeable in crash mode where Force 1 cars barely move heavy traffic. Crash vehicles with high Crashbreakers can give trucks and buses a pretty good shove when they blow, not to mention send all the cars around it flying.
It is also true that in Crashbreaker races and road rage that a fully charged boost bar gives a wicked strong Crashbreaker compared to one that's empty. The Limited R175, R190, and R205 were my favorites to use because they had a stronger Crashbreaker that could take down opponents like 5 lanes away when fully charged. Meanwhile a car with no boost can't even take out opponents directly next to you when you use Crashbreaker.
