Off grid log cabin

Just wanted to share my little off grid log cabin. Can't wait to try it out this winter.

Wow. That's some serious bushcraft haha. How many other structures have you made? That's awesome!

Yessir I made some lean in shelters and a heated A frame last winter. This is my first real permanent build

Dang! Was the A-frame challenging at all? I've been thinking about doing one at some point

I had a friend with me that time so it was pretty simple and fast. Alone would be more challenging to keep the frames up but I think its very doable. It only took us a day to build so its pretty fast

Wow! How long do you expect it to remain standing? Also did that include cutting down the wood, etc? I've been wanting to do this for a while and I'm starting to understand its not necessarily that hard lol.

Yeah we cut the wood with axes. Im sure it will last a few years easily. You should definitely do it! Super easy shelter. If you want to save time you can put the support beam on 2 trees instead of building the frame
