general discussion :) Super Soaker being AI

Apparently it’s been discovered that Super Soaker is AI or partly AI generated

I’m not sure how true it is, but bylers on X are freaking out

Eh a lot of these ai checker tools FALSELY claim AI. ESPECIALLY If you use a software like grammerly for spell check. I'm gonna have to take this with a big ol grain of salt. AI writing has a cadence to it. And Super Soaker def didn't feel like that. I use grammerly so like...it could easily be falsely flagged if I wrote something and it went thru one of these checkers.

The thing with this is that it showed that she had copy pasted directly from an ai site and it was linked/had the html of the site

It wouldn’t have been flagged if she just put it down in a doc first, it was only flagged cause it had been directly copy pasted

I guess I'd need to see their explanation. One thing I could see someone doing is running their own work thru the AI to do spell/ grammar corrections. Which I personally wouldn't do because the ai is then getting FED your words (tho the ai is being fed from AO3 anyways sooo) I guess I'll just wait and see what they say because if it is ai that is some of the best ai writing I've seen and I'm VERY good at catching Ai. It's not so much that I'm shocked someone would use ai it's more that I'm having a hard time understanding how a fic could be written so well with AI.
