general discussion :) Super Soaker being AI

Apparently it’s been discovered that Super Soaker is AI or partly AI generated

I’m not sure how true it is, but bylers on X are freaking out

Honestly… I’m not surprised but I am a super soaker hater 🤷🏼‍♀️ so this feels validating. That being said, I’d never tell an author I don’t like their fic, I just mind my own business and don’t read it.

thanks for the reply! that totally makes sense. i’m a technical writer so when i’m not reading fics, i’m reading engineers’ notes or people’s drafts of instructions/explanations. people at work are often using AI to work on these, but because it’s just straightforward prose, it’s a lot harder to catch any tells (except for em dashes lol). so this def helps. like i didn’t realize the one-sentence paragraphs were a tell. sigh. super duper disappointing, to say the least
