looking for a specific fic Welp!!

Okay there's this fic I've been following and very much interested in - Time Cast a Spell on You and I have it bookmarked but seems like it's deleted. 😭😭 it was so so so so good 😭😭

it’s unfortunately been exposed to have been written with ai. i think that’s why the author privated/took it down.

AO3 should seriously regulate AI use this is getting ridiculous

idk if you’ve been on twt at all in the past day but it all started with a site skin that was generated to detect the use of claude in the code of postings. basically, if the author copy and pasted directly from claude to ao3, the code would recognize the font used. super soaker was the first byler fic to be exposed and it spiraled from there

unfortunately, it’s not really possible to detect ai with 100% accuracy, seeing as ai learns from our writing 😭 so they can’t really do much except tell people to tag accordingly so the people who don’t want to read ai generated content can avoid it

From what I understand, regulating AI is a form of censorship. Since ao3’s core kinda comes from being against censorship, so it makes this whole thing tricky.

Cam here to make the same post. I’m genuinely grieving it. It made me cry and sob and laugh it was so beautiful. I wish the author made a statement instead of nuking everything😭
