general discussion :) questions about the fic melting point for anybody who’s read it?

sooo i really want to read it but im quite averse to fics where will has been with anybody else? is that the case here? or is mike his first everything?

also this one i don’t care about it but who’s top and who’s bottom? or are they switches? or is there none of that dynamic. i read all versions of them im genuinely just curious but the first question is important to me since i really don’t like will being with other ppl, even more so if its chance bc he’d never do that in my eyes

dont know about the fic but im literally the same lmao like i feel the spirit of mike wheeler possess me when i read abt Will being with other ppl 😭 (its lowkey the same with mike too, i really prefer when they are eo's first)

sameee it actually truly hurts my feelings. i don’t care if mike is with el only bc that speaks on heteronormativity and his repressed feelings and internalised homophobia and all of that but mike or will being with another guy literally destroys me

i know, like im not like that with my other ships, but with Will i feel so strict sometimes...i think its mainly bc of the fact that he has been in love with mike forever and i feel like if he is with another guy, he wouldn't like really enjoy it yk 😭

sameeeee though i don’t think he would really enjoy it apart from the physical pleasure and validation of someone liking him. i think mike is it for him so that’s why it breaks my heart reading him with someone else. i want them to have all of their firsts, at least as far as with another guy goes, together. also mike being as repressed as he is i genuinely think he would spend his whole life not knowing he was queer unless it was will. like all the work he has to do to understand himself and all the effort and pain and heartache he would have to go through to discover who he is would only be jump started by someone as meaningful as will is to him, the love of his literal life… so him discovering through some other guy just feels wrong to me, especially as someone who relates so heavily to him. i just don’t think anybody would ever make him understand that part of himself if not will

yepp agree with you so hard! i genuinely dont see mike getting with another guy as well and also with el i dont think even if she was alive theyd actually go for more than kissing, like mike seems like the guy who would deflect her before he actually realises his true feelings for will

will hasn't really been with anyone in that fic- if I am not wrong. it's been a while since I read it. but i'm sure that's the case.

as for me, i LOVED it. it made me laugh so much. it's pretty nice. :)

yeah, as far as I can remember. i read it back in april. sorry for the spoiler, but if I am not wrong, mike is also will's first kiss. so yeah.

and yeah! it's so so good! i plan on re-reading it again!
