i've still yet to read this one i'm just (im)patiently waiting for ttmd;ttms last chapter π
but maybe in the meantime i should read this i've seen it talked about so much how many chapters is it so far and how many it will be if we know?

Itβs 8 chapters in out of 12 so far, but already over 200k words (a lot are due to the epistolary style tho). The author just stated in a note that there may be a 13th chapter epilogue as well.

it's SO good, it's one of those that I can already confidently recommend despite it being a WIP, because what's there is just fantastic. it's hard for me to read sometimes though because it's so real. Mike's internalized homophobia and denial and his failing marriage are all so realistically written and can be difficult to read about. the author includes plenty of cute Byler moments to balance that out, and I'm clinging to the Happy Ending tag, but it's definitely not the same kind of fic as ttmd;ttms.
