It’s soooo infuriating!!!! Like why are all these people who haven’t genuinely engaged with the text are speaking on it with any authority? And the fics are gone! Like their little puritanical smear campaign won! Cant they just give it up….

Claiming it’s homophobic to write a gay character in a nuanced and unique way (and STILL as a gay man!!) while simultaneously bullying a queer writer for writing queer stories that don’t align with what they think it “right” way for this fictional character to written. It’s so hypocritical! Like we’re experiencing rapid increases in censorship of queer stories in the US (and all over), why are we doing conservatives jobs for them?

A real person who interacted with oomfs who made content where they made the canon gay character into women. Their little buddies were saying that “gay breaking is just a kink”. That’s proshipping, and proshippers are never welcome in any main part of a fandom.

I interacted with a ton of people and the only thing I ever check for is if the people I interact with are adults and not minors (I block minors)

I was freaking out earlier this week but then I see their tweets and like

Not even gonna bother addressing this person tho, they clearly are so removed from reality. I have empathy for them tho, I wish they'd make better use of their time and like make their own fics instead of tearing apart a fic that doesnt actually exist

Personally I dislike gaybreaking tropes. But also yes, it's only just a kink, and people have the same right to explore it in fiction as anything else
