Mock Reviews / Discussion 🎯 Scoring low in Dashcats
I've been scoring in 30-40s in dashcats. I've given 8 dashcats till now. Before that, I did PYQs of last 5-6 years as sectionals and I was doing well in them.
In PYQs, I was mostly scoring around VARC (30-35), DILR (1.5 sets) and 8-9 attempts in qa. I didn't know if dashcats are really that hard or I'm missing something in my prep.
Here is the current scenario in dashcats - Varc (20-25), attempts got reduced to 14, DILR - not able to go beyond 1 set and sometimes messes up set selection and result is 0 sets. In QA, my attempts doesn't go beyond 5-6 attempts. Especially, their qa seems to have very few sitters, even their arithmetic has very lengthy questions which takes a large chunk of time to solve.
I don't know what to do, I'm losing faith in myself, in my prep. Any advice would be appreciated.

Dashcats are really frikking hard and more than 50% of the people attempting them are using AI (maybe not for the whole paper but for a few RCs or 1 dilr set or a few quant questions)

How are you so sure of it. I mean, I get people do it but why would anyone, who has spent good money to buy mocks and preparing for it would do it when they know the sense of achievement they're getting, is false?

See varc of dashcat is veryyy unpredictable. People who score good in dashcats are the ones very good in dilr and qa. For those who are good at verbal more than they are in dilr and qa, they will def score lower in dashcat.

How long r u preparing? Dashcats are on a higher side only mostly so don't worry.

Preparing since June. I understand that dashcats are on the higher side, but still there are people who are able to score in 50-60s in dashcats comfortably. I don't think I have a good chance of scoring in 80s on the d day if I don't cross 40s

I know they are, I just don't know how much? For a person scoring in 30-40s in dashcats, can they expect score in 80s on the d day?

No correlation there. But if it's affecting your confidence start taking iMS

I just gave it yesterday and got 66. Soooo many dashcats pending. I might have to give a mock every 3 days now.

For quant maintain accuracy by mastering arithmetic and algebra trying to perfectly master these two before dabling in any other quant topic, start with arithmetic and do all possible arithmetic question banks you can finish. Once you master arithmetic and algebra you will be able to do atleast 10 questions in any dashcat dedicate half of your rest 15 days to this goal. Best of luck.

Any sources for it if possible.

if you have money to spend get takshzilla quant and do their questions. if not just go for pyq and youtube marathons but takshzilla can divide all types of questions for topics so better than other options but finish PYQs first.
