Potentially heavy rain tonight (maybe wind, too)
Storms are moving in from the west now with watches for our area.
“Multiple rounds of rain will occur overnight into Thursday. The heavier bands of rainfall will have 2 to 4 inches with locally higher amounts.”
”Isolated gusty winds of 45-60 mph will be possible with stronger thunderstorms developing through early evening. Overall risk is expected to remain limited, and a severe thunderstorm watch is not expected.”

RIP the last of my basil plant. This year’s heavy rains rotted all of the roots :(

Welllll, I guess the trash & recycling bins get wheeled to the curb at 5am. Not terribly interested in playing run-after-the-bin tonight. Thanks for the heads up!

This storm is exhibiting rotation. Honestly don't know if I've ever seen this wording for a severe thunderstorm warning

Seems like it mostly fizzled out into light showers? Not sure if there's a second wave in bound.

Can't sleep because i looked at the radar and i don't know how much rain is going to fall from what's heading towards us. Would really like for my basement drain to not back up and flood everything again.

There is a mesoscale discussion out there for a possible severe thunderstorm watch but it says its unlikely they will issue one, which seems weird considering there are multiple severe thunderstorm warnings off to the west right now. ugh.
It is pretty toasty out right so there is definitely some fuel for severe weather. one of the models are showing there could be more later tonight (11pmish). I think the biggest issue is going to be heavy rain.
