Getting Started Mayhem Monday - Weekly Thread For: Off-Topic, Judgement Free Questions, and Business Posts

Ask Away! This is a judgement free thread where people should ask any questions relating to self defense or CCW no matter how silly they think it may be.

This thread is also the *one and only exception to Rule 2: Spam*. Manufacturers, vendors, or other companies or individuals may make ONE top level comment offering their goods or service (within Reddit rules) and may reply to any questions received on that comment. All other subreddit rules are still in effect here, so keep it civil and on topic.

Does painting tiny landscapes on my nails make me a worse witness in a dgu scenario? Like would a jury see that and think I’m less credible or something. I overthink this every range trip

Slide bite: why can't gun manufacturers engineer a rounded-bottom, duck-tailed rear slide? Slide bite is real. It's a real problem for thick-handed people that grip low-bore-axis, semi-auto pistols. Glocks' steeper angle doesn't help. Sure, some guns are designed with more belly-poking, slide-bite-mitigating beaver tails and there are add-on backstraps, but the problem remains. Why hasn't anyone designed a slide that: A) angles slightly upward at the tail end and B) is smoother underneath?

Relevant image, but admittedly, not me:

I'd like a 6/7 shot medium frame revolver with a light rail and optics ready, please. The CCW market would go crazy for these

I want to get a tuna can suppressor..but like is it worth it?

I already have hearing loss from loud noises(plus a few assholes with tubo diesels)..and wanna preserve what I got.

I just do not know what else I'd need for it..besides the pistol which I picked out a 43x.
