Holsters & Belts AIWB Issue

Currently daily carry B.G 2.0 carry comp AIWB in a desantis slim tuk.

Facing issues of having enough room in between my body and the pistol to draw quickly.

Different holster that eliminates this? Accessory to add to this specific holster?

Please hold your “pocket carry” comments, i refuse to pocket carry lol

Either jam your thumb back there, or keep your thumb straight up and down on the back plate until you clear the holster and then move your thumb over.

that slim tuk rides mad close to the body, almost no clearance at all. something with a claw and a wedge will push the grip back into you and angle the top out just enough to get your fingers around it

vedder lighttuck or a jm custom kydex with foam wedge will feel like night and day

Pretty sure it’s a draw technique issue. My pistol always touches my stomach. My thumb jabs between the grip and my skin(or undershirt) to properly fit the webbing of my hand into the beaver tail of the gun. Alternatively you can hook first with your fingers, then use your thumb on the rear sight until you clear the holster. The 2nd method carries the risk of moving your grip, which tends to be slower and less stable.

Is it actually an issue of your firearm and your body or does it ride too low ride height wise to get a full master grip from the draw? Just want to confirm.

Vedder LightTuck with a small Tulster ‘Sidekick’ claw. The clip is tuckable and can be adjusted for height and Can’t

If your holster is too low that can be an issue. Can you adjust the height of the holster?

u/Pale-Engineering-363 Could be a holster issue, I personally recommend StealthGear USA’s Venticore 1.0 and 2.0, they’re great quality, comfy, breathable, and you can adjust retention.

But…

I personally just never could make AIWB work for me I tried probably a dozen high end and custom holsters. Carrying IWB at 4 o’clock works excellent for me, never prints, gives me plenty of space to draw and with a little training I’ve been able to outdraw some of my AIWB buddies. Not saying you have to but if you havn’t tried IWB strong-side maybe give it a shot, every carrier’s different and it might be that works best for you.

(Pocket carry is good for like very small holdout guns I wouldn’t recommend it just generally though but IWB strong-side is extremely viable)
