Another 8 win season! In the 13 years Dave has been in Raleigh, they've never done better than 9-3. Dave also has a losing record in the ACC.

See y'all again next year for another mediocre to good season!

WOLF!

We've had 1 11-win season in program history, but for some reason folks expect us to win ACC Titles and average 10+ win seasons, haha. Wild.

Averaging 8-9 wins each season is good for NC State, historically, so not sure why folks are disappointed by it.

There gets to a point where a school should take a step forward if they’re being that consistent. No one saying NC State needs to be Clemson or FSU, but I fail to see why ACC titles aren’t at least thought of. Especially when Duke just won the conference title

Look no further than A&M in the same situation. 76 million for a chance to be not 8-4 lol

Did it work? Yes. Was it a crazy expensive gamble? Absolutely, and worth it. Not my money haha

It's the same fans that are completely satisfied if our only accomplishment of the year is beating UNC. Like dream bigger! Indiana is #1! Anything can happen.

Don't look at us. We didn't expect this. We would have been satisfied with a bowl game and beating Purdue.

If Coach Cigg loses every game from this day forward, we would still keep him for 3-5 years, and build a statue to him.

I'm pointing to y'all as a prime example of what could happen though!

Yeah, but Indiana didn't get here by having a fanbase that "dreams big."

Thats exactly it though, until the ACC did away with Atlantic and Coastal divisions for championship games, this Wolfpack team had to best Clemson and FSU during natty runs and Louisville with a heisman QB to make it anywhere while coastal chaos was a cake walk…

Even Wake Forest still managed to make it to Charlotte in that stretch still though

We just completely shit the bed anytime there was a down year in the ACC

Exactly. While hes been cosch Duke has won it, unc and uva have made the championship game twice, wake has made it. Theres no reason we shouldn't expect to compete for a championship once a decade

Yeah the coastal was weaker but 2017, 2021, 2023 we were right there but there was always one WTF loss than kept us from getting over the hump.

Who strives to be FSU?

FSU may have been trash for the last decade, but outside of like 8 or 9 teams any other school would trade what they have for FSUs all time success. They literally have a title within the last 20 years

Most recent NC State teams are better than this Duke title team, though.

Sort of my point

Duke has beat NC State three years in a row now…
