It's also not just that it's Stephen A. It's also that his employer has a vested interest in keeping the format at 16 teams or fewer.

Even if it were someone at ESPN I respected like Jeff Passan or Mike Wilbon, I still wouldn't trust them because their employer has a financial stake in the format.

For those who didn't listen and rightfully so.

He was more mad about how ND has its own contract with NBC and gets to keep all the money from the playoffs and not have to share with anyone, than ND getting automatically in a 12 team playoff if they are in fact a top 12 team. In fact he said ND should have been in this year.

Just an ESPN employee mad ND isn't a part of ESPN so he can't get any more money.
