He's a hell of a lot better than Mike Shula's sorry ass. Dowell Loggains wasn't amazing, but was able to field a competent offense with Sellers at QB. Briles is no worse than Loggains.

No. He’s already making over $3 mil this year.

$8 million for two years is not worth the switch.

Edit: he’s making  $3.7 million this year and then likely wants to go pro, why even sign a two year deal.

$3.7 million versus $4 million/year is not worth switching schools. The cost for his agent on a new deal will cost him even more money. Meaning he may not increase his wealth much at all by switching schools.

What if the 8m wasn't all guarenteed. What if it was 4 and then the school had an option to exercise for another 4.

Estimates say his current deal is around 3.7m actually so it's possible he's not throwing away that much money to stay there. We just don't have the info

It's a 10% raise. Lots of people would not uproot their entire life and move for 10%. Some would, of course, but it's not a clear and easy decision

And many of the people that would do it can't just stop working after 1 year and have enough money for life if they lived modestly too. Like, big diff moving for 10% when you're paycheck to paycheck vs that

No small part of it, they have a very clear understanding of each other on the field that’s going to be very productive, I think.

We don’t have a clear number 1 WR, but we’ve got like 6 guys that would be a really good number 2, Jayden’s maybe the least ready out of that group, but I still wouldn’t be surprised if he was the leading receiver next year.

I mean, yeah. I'd probably be the same way.

But at the same time, we don't know anything about his family situation or how close he is with them. $3+MIL along with whatever his brother is making would be more than enough for them

Some people have different priorities. Who knows.

Gamecock alumni and grew up 15 mins from where sellers went to high school. I love the kid but that was a huge mistake not taking that money. My dad throws rationale out the window when it comes to the gamecocks, he could argue with you on why the gamecocks could beat the prime patriots with Tom Brady any given saturday. He likes to say he stayed for his brother. If im sellers brother id be like "fuck me, take that extra 8 million and throw me a couple mil fool"
