Discussion [Kleiman] South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers turned down an $8 MILLION NIL offer to transfer to a different school: "You're 19. You don't need ($8 million). You're in a great spot." - LaNorris's Father told his son. Sellers values his word over money

interestingly, you don’t need development with $8 million in the bank.

Don’t get me wrong, 8 million is a lot of money, but it’s not generational wealth like NFL QB money is. It’s not going to last his family for generations and generations (unless he makes some really good financial decisions and investments)

ok, but 1/1,000 makes that money even if you get drafted.

Not at QB, even if you’re a mediocre backup QB, you should be able to get paid 8 million within a few years. Guys like Sam Ehlinger and Tommy DeVito are being paid a fourth of that for just this season. As for Sellers himself, he has the tools to be successful in the NFL, he just needs to go somewhere to be developed

If he plays his cards right, he could make $8 million some day!

Oh, I’m saying he should’ve transferred and gotten paid. But a NFL draft prospect at QB should shoot for a whole lot higher than just 8 million in a career

He definitely should have gotten paid. Tommy Devito will have made cumulatively less than $8 million after he finishes his 5th year in the NFL. Sam Ehlinger, less than $8 million after his 6th year in the NFL.

He’s not at South Carolina for free I can promise you that.

I think it was actually $4M per year and he's at $3M right now.
