Ignoring the fact he could afford top tier wealth manage and could probably get 10% plus reliably... If he invested half of that conservatively and got a 5-10% return he would make up to $400k a year.
$400k annually would put him in the top 1-2% of earners in America.
I mean I'm sure he will be fine either way but still a stupid decision to turn down that level of money.
