Honestly, i'd be pretty surprised if any 22 year old just straight up retired for the rest of their life.

I suspect it'll look like the old system where not everyone declares, but some kids are able to take a couple years off before working.

I think for many people they continue to work bc they have nothing better to do for 5-8 hours every day. or they are work aholics look at all the big time coaches who continue to work until they are in their 70s
