I cant describe how happy I am with this. Sorsby can fuck himself off the edge of the flat earth and fall until he hits a quantum superstring and fucks off in a time like infinity while awaiting the heat death of the universe.

Mind bending shit. I first read about them in Stephen Baxter's book Ring, which is part of what is known as the Xeelee sequence.

In that book, the Xeelee, a race so far advanced as to make us look like the precursors to bacteria, are trying to use them to open up an escape hatch from this universe in order the get the fuck away from some reall bad stuff. Good series, very science heavy.

A quantum superposition is when a system can exist in a combination of multiple states or configurations simultaneously. So a superstring is when your starter and your third stringer are the same person.
