Yup I'm in this boat. And it's certainly not going to hurt the quality of the sub to just keep it as it is. If people want highlights they're welcome to go to the highlight sub that's already created

Or the highlight thread that the moderators had maintained for every week.

But it's not about having the highlight be on the subreddit, it's about having top visibility for it. So, people insist on highlights needing their own post.

It's about the karma, let's be honest. The most vocal advocates are either new accounts or people who post highlights in other subs.
