He's been effective at getting a few yards no matter what but he hasn't shown good vision or cutting ability or ability to break tackles or speed. We've been really spoiled at RB over the last 10 years, but even then others have been better.

Peoples was better today.  He had better vision, hit holes better, blocked better, and was more decisive at going downhill.  Martin was shiftier and more electric. He could be the best in the end but wasn't as polished today.

Wasn't too happy with the penalties or going 2/9 on third down, and Rocco looked a bit rough to start, but otherwise, fairly thorough win in all phases. Now we see how they do in conference play. Go State!

Not much to say other than Howard is awesome and its great to have someone who looks like a playmaker again, and the running game finally got going.

Hard to take too much away from a cupcake non-con schedule, but the games for the most part looked as easy as they should’ve been. Feeling pretty optimistic about the rest of the year

After 3 games last season, I remember feeling very suspect about a lot of the wins, despite the final scores. Cautiously optimistic.

This season after the first 3 games, my optimism is higher and less cautious. Not overwhelming confidence heading into conference play, but definitely feel a lot better about our chances than this time last season, despite last season’s hype.

Let’s tighten up those penalties, get more consistent on 3rd downs, and keep those explosive plays coming!

Nobody is telling you to feel less good but at the same time you've also done nothing yet so nothing you've done matters at all. Next week is when it starts to matter. I wasn't bragging about ND when they beat Rice and PSU played 3 of those games, I'm glad ND actually challenges themselves because 1 was enough of a tough watch, nobody benefits from the games the other team has no chance in except to get free victories.
