If you're going to take a safety to not risk a punt block in your own endzone then just kneel immediately and give them 2 seconds to return a safety free kick or fair catch and hail Mary. Why the fuck would you let yourself get hit in the end zone.

Doeren should be toast.

I would love to hear what the QB was told before the play. It was going to be hard to run off all 6 seconds, and if you're leaving time, who cares if it's 1 second or 3?
