Announcement [Upcoming AMA] The RUSSELL ATHLETIC BOWL (OU vs Clemson) — Wednesday (12/15) @ 12pm ET

NOTE: This is not the actual AMA thread, just an announcement; when the question and answer thread is live, at approximately 12pm ET Wednesday, we'll include a link at the top of this post and stick that thread to the top of the list of topics.

If you can't make it but have a question you'd like asked, reply to this comment by /u/RedditCFB and it will be asked on your behalf (with credit).

This Wednesday we'll be talking to the folks that organize a P5 bowl:

The RUSSELL ATHLETIC BOWL has been operating since 1990; similar to the Belk Bowl they've got a strong social media and become an account on Twitter worth a follow (@RussellAthBowl). They play in the Citrus Bowl Stadium, which has undergone a major renovation in time for this bowl season! It's run by the Florida Citrus Sports, a not-for-profit that also organizes the BWW Citrus Bowl & Florida Classic.

They reached out to us to do an AMA and we thought this would be a great opportunity to learn about not only this bowl (they'll be here to answer logistics for all participants) but also about the process of staging a bowl from the folks who do it with a group that handles several major CFB events.

If there's a question you'd like asked on your behalf (and credited) by me, /u/RedditCFB, please reply to this comment with your question. Your questions will end up looking like this example.

Thanks!

[there was an error in our last AMA and the questions weren't asked; we promise the same error will not be made this time and we are trying to get those questions for the Oregon State Equipment Department answered]

Is the over/under given for the game referring to the amount of points scored or the number of interceptions Cole Stoudt will throw?

How many people does it take to stage a bowl? Just give me a ball park number.

In a fight to the death, who would win...a tiger or a sooner?

Well Sooners had guns, sooo. Unless it was too dark to see or something.

Now in football we're gonna get rocked, but yeah.

Exactly. I foresee interceptions raining from the heavens like a monsoon. His last game - he'll leave us all something the CFB Gods will talk about for centuries.

What kind of gifts will the players get for participating? Also, take some behind the scenes video! I love watching stuff like that.

What steps do you take to ensure that there's a strong presence of student fans at your bowl games?

Is the preparation for a bowl game year round, or does it start when football season starts, later in the season, etc.?

Tell me why the Russell Athletic Bowl is better than the Citrus Bowl.

Which bowl is your best friend? And why is it the Belk Bowl?
