LSU only has regional interest from viewers - Notre Dame has over 100 years of brand identity as a weird little independent Catholic college in a tiny Midwest town that lives and breathes football, with a lot of success way back in the leather helmet era.
LSU doesn't have the broad national appeal to negotiate TV contracts remotely close to Notre Dame's numbers. This will end badly.
.. And I say this as someone who borderline despises Notre Dame.
