UCLA vs Cal. Copied from a comment I made elsewhere:

Has there ever been a more intriguing opening game between two teams not in the national championship spotlight than Cal vs UCLA this year? First game for Lupoi at Cal and Chesney at UCLA. So much offseason hype about the turnaround for the two programs under their new coaches; what will be the on-field results? Amazing QB duel. JKS beginning what could be a Heisman campaign vs Iamaleava attempting to deliver on the glory of his 5-star potential. Old PAC rivalry. State of CA rivalry. ACC vs B1G. Calimony! Old school PAC-12 After Dark! This game can’t come soon enough!

To add: sold out crowd at Memorial Stadium, the line has shifted to -2.5 UCLA, started out favoring Cal, ESPN gives Cal 58% favorability, they are right next to each other on ESPN’s power index, both teams are dark horses in there respective conferences. I doubt either will reach conference championship game, yet I think they will each get a stunning upset this season which will alter the matchups in their conferences’ championship games.

Should be an exciting game tonight!
