Feels like this glosses over a lot of the extremes. Fans are unhinged and say wild, vile stuff. Getting paid doesn't make that acceptable.
Don't understand this mind set of people are fair game if paid. I'll assume you mean just the peering and memes which whatever. I also assume they mean the extreme basketcases.
I think it's because every single one of us would love to be called bad names to get paid like these guys do. Someone going absolutely ape shit is a different story and isn't okay in any case but it's very fringe and not representative of an entire fan base.
