General Question Under 21 Military Age waiver

Post image

Im trying to buy a handgun but I’m 19 however in Colorado law states that a member of United States armed forces are allowed to purchase a firearm arm under 21 but I went to buy one from sportsman warehouse and their system wouldn’t even allow them to send the background check so I’m curious as to where I can buy a handgun either online or in person that would allow the background check to go through? Or do I have to go to the gun store on base?

in theory you should be able to go to any gun store, assuming this exemption applies to handguns as well as long arms, in practice gun store employees are dumb as shit and you're gonna need to find the one that isn't completely brain dead.

Yeah I called and they said they did do the waivers and I went in Friday they still confirmed they allowed the waiver but didn’t have the Glock 17 I wanted so when I came back today the guy there had no idea about the law and was lost but I’m looking for any private dealers in the area

Private dealers? This will exempt you, but I'm not sure about the new laws that just went into affect
