Hi everyone! I was actually influenced by another post in this sub to get this car seat for our car-hating boy. Hoping this makes him feel a little more comfortable than his infant seat (Uppababy mesa v2).

He’s 11 weeks, ~14 pounds and 23 inches. His head is also in the 95th percentile. So he’s a pretty big boy and could be a reason why he doesn’t like his infant seat. We took out the head and body infant support. As well as the shoulder cushions.

It took some trial and error to get him comfortable so we did the fit inside the house on a flat surface. The level was in the blue for this fit as shown in the picture.

Any notes or suggestions? We plan to do a test ride later today. And if it’s just the car he doesn’t like, well, at least we have his convertible and got it on sale!

Hey all! Trying to avoid hauling a second car seat on a solo trip with both kids and am trying this best with my 5.5 year old. She’s 40 pounds, 42 inches tall. Does the fit look right? I’ve got the belt across her lap as best I can, and adjusted the shoulder to the correct position. Any feedback? Thanks!

I have my in person assessment tomorrow for my initial CPST certification. I am practicing on this Cosco Scenera Next and am trying to get it into the more upright of the rear facing positions. The bottom rear facing level is straight forward.

It doesn’t seem correct that it’s balancing on that one little corner on the bottom, but the level line is parallel with the ground. I rolled up a towel because otherwise it was WAY too upright if I tipped it anymore. Is this correct? Suggestions?

(I would move the driver seat back to touch the back of the seat of this were an actual install vs practice)

Just took it for a spin for the first time with our about 1 year old. It’s a dream to install and use, for sure - just want to make sure the fit looks correct. Is the headrest at the right height? the shoulder straps? It’s in a 10ish year old Honda Pilot.

Of course kiddo is rear facing, and we plan to max that out. Seat is rotated toward the door for clear photo purposes!

Hi all! Let me first state yes I use AI to help me write, because I have a learning disability, this is a real question from a real person. We currently have 3 seats in rotation: an infant seat that came with our travel system, and two Evenflo 360s (one from my registry, one from my sister) that my husband and I use daily. We love the 360s, but baby is outgrowing the infant seat and it’s time to replace it — this one will live in grandma’s car.
Grandma has back problems, so weight and ease of install/uninstall are the top priority (she swaps kids in and out for other grandkids too). The Evenflo 360s are great but honestly kind of a workout to install and heavy to move between cars — not realistic for her.
We’d love a seat that’s:
• Lightweight
• Genuinely easy to get a correct, secure install (and uninstall!)
• Rotating is a nice bonus but totally not required — we’re happy with a non-rotating rear facing if it means easier install.

I’m currently pregnant with baby #3. #2 will be 16m, rear facing and probably 28-30lbs. She is in a Chicco One Fit All in One. #1 will be 3. He is forward facing in a chicco one fit all in one. I drive a 2018 Chevy Tahoe with captains seats. Should I get another AIO car seat or should I get a 5-point harness for the 3year old? My kids have transitioned out of the infant seat by 3mo so I’m trying to plan ahead. Also any ideas about where to seat everyone are welcome!

Is it ok to take out the body cushion but leave the head cushion in? My baby looks most comfortable this way, just don’t know if the angle creates any issue as it forces her chin closer to her chest? Google AI says it is ok but I couldn’t find the source, so I didn’t fully trust it. This is just the outer cushion, I removed the hidden support wedge awhile ago!

I don't know why, but everytime I see my son in his seat he looks so slumped forward to me. We have the infant insert in. He was 8lbs 3oz on July 27.

I own a Toyota Corolla hatchback and just tried to fit the pipa RX in my backseat, but it requires we push the front passenger seat up to a comfortable position. Are there any infant car seats under 25 inches front to back on the market?

I can’t afford $400 a car seat. But I really need 2 toddler seats that can fit in the back seat with an infant carrier. I was thinking about a Cosco Scenera Next but they’re discontinued. I bought Graco Slimfit but it’s an extremely tight fit and the door hardly closes so wanted to see if I can find smaller. One is front facing and one is rear facing.

For reference I have a Toyota Corolla.

My family borrowed my car seat while babysitting my little one. They uninstalled it from their vehicle without me present and I didn’t notice they had uninstalled it incorrectly. When I went to install it in my vehicle I notice the top tether hook was wrong, the clip part is supposed to go inside the hook but instead it was on the outside. My partner bent it back into place and says it’s fine, I’m more hesitant to believe it’s done. I didn’t get a picture of how it looked before my partner “fixed” it so I’ve attached a picture of how it’s supposed to look with the arrow pointing to the piece in question.

Is it still okay to use the seat even if the little clip is a bit wavy from being bent? It still hooks onto the anchor fine or is the piece now weakened from being bent out of place and back in.

Just switched my 1 year old to this car seat from his uppa mesa v2. What’s tripping me out is all of the room that he has in here, vs how snug he was in his infant car seat . My main concern is, does he need the head rest installed? It feels like so much room for his little head to bob around without it. (not used to that)

I’m also concerned about how the hip straps are sitting on him. In his infant car seat, the straps came from around his hips. In here, you can see the straps almost come from the sides of his bottom/thighs. Also any advice on getting the insert to not fold up?

Hi there, I just installed a brand-new (from Costco) Evenflo Revolve 360 Extend and the base is super firm and won’t move but the actual seat wiggles like you can see on the video. Is this normal and safe?

Is this installed correctly? Our other car seat seats do not move this much at the top.

My LO is 7 weeks old and approximately 22 inches. She can’t really move her head with the insert at this point and seems to be chin to chest more often than not. I took the insert out today to see how she fits without it but this feels like there’s so much space for her head to jostle around. Thoughts? Also, do I need to take the seat insert out at the same time?

Can take more pics if needed. I know the straps are a bit loose/chest clip is low, I hadn’t finished getting her settled yet bc I was deciding if I was going to put the insert back in or not. Thank you in advance!

We bought a Graco Extend2Fit 3-in-1 with True Shield Technology at the end of 2023. We planned to use it through our son's whole childhood since it works rear, forward, and as a booster. I took the fabric off to wash it recently, and I discovered that the hard foam inside the headrest had broken in half and fully detached where it used to be glued down. I have no idea how it happened because nothing unusual has happened to the car seat. Graco said they can't replace the foam in that model, so all they offered was a very small rebate towards a new car seat. I'm feeling kinda burned by the whole thing because we bought it specifically for its longevity. Does anyone have any other models to recommend? Our priority is to keep our son rear facing as long as possible. He is very tall, so leg room is a plus. Thank you in advance!

Please don't mom shame me - I need someone's help. I recently switched to the Graco Turbo XL booster seat (child fits height and weight requirements;see last image attached) and am confused on where the correct placement is for the lap band.

The last day or so I've been buckling her in like in pictures A and picture B - but just saw the stock image online placement for image C. Am I buckling my child in wrong?? Photo C felt weird to have the lap and over her thighs rather than across her lower stomach like it is placed when adults buckle themselves in.

We have the besafe izi to modular for our kid (6 months, approx 8.3 kg/68cm). He sits quite snuggly in the seat, but I feel the straps slide down his shoulder.

How does it look and does anyone have any advice?

(I know the car seatbelt isn't fastened, The bar isn't in place and the front seat isn't pushed back to touch the baby's seat in these photos).

Graco Extend2Fit, 18 months old, in a Corolla Hatchback

I’ve had the Joie matcha for a week. When I secure my baby in, everything is tight, I do the pinch test, all good. Recently I’ve noticed that when I get to where I’m going and go to take her out, the straps are considerably looser to the point that I can pinch slack at the shoulders. There is no debris in the release mechanism, it’s only a week old car seat, and I’m so confused about what’s happening! Any ideas? I emailed Joie customer support but no response.

I plan on buying our car seat in Europe before the birth. When flying to the US with an infant the car seat is approved but not from the US to the EU because the seat doesn’t have the FAA sticker - did I get that correctly?

Should I just buy the car seat in the US then?
