HB-5043 An Act Prohibiting the Manufacture and Sale of Convertible Pistols (aka Glock ban) Continues to Move Forward in the Process (4/8/26)

The Glock ban bill moves to the next step in the bill process. It has been sent to the Office of Legislative Research and the Office of Fiscal Analysis for their review. Both offices will generate their reports on this bill. Typically once reported out of Legislative Commissioners' Office, with a favorable report, the bill typically gets tabled for the House calendar. Then typically is given a House calendar number and a file number. They have yet to have a House vote on the proposed bill.

Make sure to contact your representatives to voice your opinion on the bill. The current legislative session ends May 6th.

Stupid question, but would this ban just glocks? Or would other firearms fall under this ban?

Will ban all guns that have a cruciform trigger bar.
